ANNUAL BADGER LIONS CLUB PICNIC:Monday, July 26 at 6 pm at Knudson Park. Badger Lions member and Badger Mayor Chris Wendell will report on the State of the City. The Harmony Brigade - Barbershop Chorus to perform. 7:30 pm in Betty Nyght Hamilton Bandshell located in Gowrie City Park. Sponsored by Gowrie Area Arts Council. In case of inclement weather the concert will take place in Zion Lutheran Church. Freewill donations gratefully accepted.

Gowrie Fire Department's Annual Truck & Tractor Pull at the Webster County Fairgrounds. 7:00 pm with proceeds going to future construction of a Fire Station.

Other Events

Webster-Calhoun's Fiber to the Home cutovers are being scheduled in Badger and Clare (Barnum will be started soon). Construction is finishing up in Vincent, Thor and Duncombe and cutovers may start soon there, too.

 
Badger
Blood Pressure Check in Badger the 2nd Thursday of each month. 9 -11 am at the Community Center
Tree program available - City of Badger will pay for 1/2 or up to $50 per tree - maximum 4 trees. Call for details.
 

Vincent
The Vincent City Council is open to listening to community development ideas that you may have. We are trying to keep Vincent a fun and enjoyable place to live. Ideas for all age groups are welcome. It is best to come to the Council Meetings on the second Tuesday of the month at 7:00 pm. If you can't make it written suggestions will be read.

 
Lions Recycle for Sight and Hearing The Badger Lions Club will recycle old unwanted eyeglasses for redistribution in developing countries.  The Lions Recycle for Sight is an excellent way for you to help people worldwide.  Drop off your eyeglasses or hearing aids in the Post Office in Badger. The Somers Community Center is available for your class events, reunions, birthday parties, social events and business events. For more information and reservations please contact the Mayor of Somers, Wes Garvey at 467-5506.
