The American Legion Post 510 was awarded $500 from the Aureon Charity Grant Program to help with new town sign installation. “The new sign symbolizes more than just our town limits,” said Commander Mike Ewing of Post 510. “It honors our veterans, celebrates civic pride, and welcomes visitors with a beacon of community unity.”

The primary birthstone for April is the diamond, so we’re sharing some sparkling facts: 1) The majority of natural diamonds are one to three billion years old. 2) The Hope Diamond sits in the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History and is valued at nearly $350 million. 3) Only about 30 percent of the diamonds mined worldwide are gem-quality.

Students visited to learn more about who we are, what we do, and the many career opportunities within the telecommunications industry. During their time here, they toured our office and got an inside look at our central office—where the heart of our network lives and where fiber connections keep our communities connected every day.
From phone, internet, wi-fi, and TV service, we were excited to share how our team works behind the scenes to deliver reliable communication services. We hope this experience gave students a better understanding of the technology that powers their daily lives and inspired them to explore future careers in this essential and ever-growing field.
