Community Grant Programs

Aureon Charity Grant Program

Aureon invites public and private non-profit agencies to submit proposals for consideration in assisting in your charity drives and/or funding of a specific project for your respective communities. Only those communities served by Aureon participating telecommunications companies are eligible to submit proposals.

Timeline

Applications may be submitted anytime during the year. The committee will review quarterly the applications received by the end of each quarter. All applicants will be notified of the funding decisions.

Grant Awards

Awards typically range in amounts from $500 to $1,500.

Foundation for Rural Service – Community Grant Program

The Foundation for Rural Service (FRS) Community Grant Program is offered annually through NTCA members, like us, to support local efforts to build and sustain a high quality of life in rural America.

We are accepting grant applications from $250 – $5,000.

20% of the grant comes from the NTCA member partner: Webster-Calhoun.

FRS provides priority to projects that: 

  • Could be fully funded by the grant maximum of $5,000 or have at least 75% of the project  currently funded.

  • Technology and broadband enabled focused projects.

  • Have a long-term impact for the community and its residents.

  • Promote community participation and engagement.

  • Create a more sustainable rural community.

​The Program supports projects in these categories:

  • Business & Economic development

  • Education & Workforce 

  • Health & Well-being 

  • Public Service & First Responders 

FRS will not fund grants to the following:

  • Applicants who received grant funding from FRS within the past two years
  • Overhead Expenses (salaries, rent, utilities, insurance)
  • Individuals                                         
  • Pass-through Funding (scholarship or re-granting programs)
  • Seed funding or projects that have not secured at least 75% of the required funds for completion
  • Conferences, Events, Travel, and Staff Training
  • Membership or Dues-based Programs
  • International Organizations
  • Lobbying and Political Programming
  • Religious Activities or Resources
  • Infrastructure/Building Campaigns
  • Security Cameras
  • Capital Campaigns or Endowments
  • Vehicles
  • Digital Signage
  • Event Sponsorships
  • Community Food Programs
  • Debt Reduction Efforts or Loan Repayments
  • For-Profit Businesses
