TV Troubleshooting Tips

If you see a “No Signal” message on your TV, here are a few suggestions:

  1. If you can, try changing the channel to make sure the issue is not affecting other channels versus isolated to one channel.
  2. You could also try rebooting the set-top box, by unplugging the power cord from the power source. Once unplugged, wait for about 30 seconds-1 minute, and plug back in to the power source, the power cycle may take 5-10 minutes.
  3. Once the set-top box is powered back on, if your screen still says “No Signal”, you can try changing the inputs on the remote from Webster-Calhoun or your TV’s original remote that came with it.
  4. How to Change Inputs: press the TV remote on our remote, and then press the input button at the very bottom of the remote. This will bring up options like HDMI1, HDMI2, Source, DVD, etc. On the back of your TV, you can see which port the HDMI cable is plugged into to confirm which input WCDTV service is on.

This is a common error that can occur, to fix this, press the STB button on the remote and then press the FAV. This will bring up a list option that can be changed to Subscribed Channels or All Channels for a better viewing experience.

If the Guide is not coming up, maybe try pressing the STB button first and then the Guide button. If that doesn’t work, check the batteries and make sure they are still functioning properly.

First, press the STB button and then the button that looks like #-> (this is below the number 9 button). You have to make sure you press STB, because if the TV button is pressed prior this will actually affect the picture size of the TV.
