Affordable Connectivity Program
Webster-Calhoun Cooperative Telephone Association has been approved by the FCC as a provider for the Affordable Connectivity Program program to help lower the cost of high speed internet.
Benefits:
The Affordable Connectivity Program will provide a discount of up to $30 per month towards broadband service for eligible households. The benefit is limited to one discount per household.
Eligibility:
A household is eligible if one member of the household meets at least one of the low-income criteria, including but not limited to, qualifying for the Lifeline program or free and reduced-price school lunch programs.
Lifeline:
You may also be eligible for discounted service through the Federal Lifeline Program. Lifeline is a government benefit under which eligible low-income customers may qualify for a discount for residential local telephone service OR Internet at your primary residence. Learn More about Lifeline here.
Any ACP complaint can be filed with the FCC's Consumer Complaint Center by visiting their website www.consumercomplaints.fcc.gov or calling 877-384-2575.
NOTICE #1: ACP IS WINDING DOWN
On January 11th, 2024 the FCC released an Order announcing wind-down requirements for the Affordable Connectivity Program due to a lack of additional funding from Congress. The Order sets out requirements regarding the specific and frequent notices to enrolled ACP households about the end of the program, currently projected for April 2024. The Affordable Connectivity Program will stop accepting new applications and enrollments on February 7th, 2024. Please refer to the FCC’s website at fcc.gov/acp for more information. Consumers must be approved and enrolled with a service provider by 11:59 p.m. ET on February 7th to receive the benefit.
