Aureon Grant to Gowrie Fire Department

December 20, 2022 - GOWRIE

The Gowrie Fire Department received $1,500 from the Aureon Charity Grant Program to help purchase new SCBA Air Packs, critical equipment that needs to be replaced by the department every few years to keep up with federal regulations.

Kent Atha, Aureon, and Marcie Boerner, Webster-Calhoun Cooperative Telephone Association, are pictured presenting a check to Chad Loseke, Daryl Promes, AJ Dorsey and Austin Promes, all employees of WCCTA and also local members of the Gowrie Fire Department.

WCCTA is proud of the community-minded efforts of the volunteers that make up fire departments across our service area. In addition WCCTA supports the Gowrie Department by allowing these employees to leave during area emergencies.

The Aureon Charity Grant Program was established to increase service and support to rural independent telephone companies and the communities they serve. Applications are considered on a quarterly basis and available to organizations within the WCCTA service area.

Webster-Calhoun is proud to support these employees and volunteer firemen (pictured left to right are) Chad Loseke, Assistant Fire Chief; Austin Promes, Firefighter 1; AJ Dorsey, Firefighter 1; and Daryl Promes, Captain.
